ANIMATION VIDEO – SOCIAL ENTERPRISES
Levende Streg created an animation video about what a social enterprise is. We made the video for The Ministry of Children, Gender Equality, Integration and Social Affairs. The creative process was a collaboration between specialists from the Ministry and the talented people from Bjerg Kommunikation.
ANIMATION VIDEO TO EXPLAIN COMPLEX STUFF
Owners of social enterprises often find it difficult to explain what a social enterprise is. Furthermore what separates them from other companies.
Thus the Ministry requested a video that explained how such a company works. Also why social enterprises is a good investment.
IDEA DEVELOPMENT AND PROCESS
As already mentioned, the idea development for this project happened together with Bjerg Kommunikation and The Ministry. The creative process was defined by the design manual for the Ministry, which had to be approved first. Thus, the project took a few months from start to finished video.
STORYLINE
The video shows social products without highlighting any specific enterprises. This turned out to be a bit of a challenge. Because how does one visualize something that can’t be shown?
We ended up with doing general visualizations of products, so no company felt left out. This made the storyline more tangible, so the viewer could really understand what a social enterprise is.
THE VISUAL STYLE
American explainer videos inspired the visual style of the video. They explain products or businesses in a simple manner in about 1 minute. It is an effective form of communication where storytelling is crucial.
The Ministry wanted to communicate something modern and visionary. Thus the characters, style and graphics match that.
CHOICE OF COLOUR
We think that it’s essential that animated business videos does not look like a color explosion. This makes the expression disruptive instead of creating overview. We made the color in this video business-oriented, but still modern. It is closely aligned, so that the nuances suit each other with one or two contrast colors.
